Preschool Science Fun with Ice Castles
Most children have seen the movie “Frozen”! So by using a fairy tale theme, we can create ice castles with the kiddos. For children that want a different theme they can simply build the ice castles and see how they melt, decorate with what is available in the home for art projects or outdoor materials. Us flowers picked from the park or yard. Gather ice and build! Simple and fun especially with how hot it is!

Why it’s important
Your child will learn more about everyday objects by including them in experiments that challenge her thinking skills. Conducting a basic test to determine one attribute of an object will allow your child to practice predicting outcomes, comparing objects, and classifying objects.
Materials
Smock, small objects (rocks, paper clips, beanbags, seashells), dishwashing tub or other large container
What you do
1. Fill the dishpan halfway with water. Plan the objects on a small table next to the water.
2. Invite your child to play at the table. Help them put on the smock.
3. Explain that you want to find out which objects sink and which objects float in the water. Talk about things they have seen sink or float.
4. Invite your child to pick up an object and drop it in the water. Ask them to determine whether it sinks or floats.
5. Encourage your child to choose an object and make a prediction before dropping it in the water.
6. When they are finished, ask your child to collect all of the floating objects and then all of the sinking objects and sort them in to seperate piles on the table.

Brush your Teeth by Super Simple Song – It is important that we continue to brush our teeth everyday and keep our teeth clean. Using songs is a great way to get your kids learning while they are having fun singing and dancing along. Therefore, have your child play this song while brushing their teeth to get them going and to time how long they should be brushing their teeth for! Link: https://video.link/w/Xdi9b
